Small Business ideas/Working from home? No online businesses or surveys?

I have got diploma in Human Resources. i don't want to continue studying in that field because i dont have a real interest in it. I have worked in recruitment for the past 2 years. I also completed certificate 2 in Nail technology. I could do waxing course and make up and do all three from home when i have kids and need flexibility with hours but i am not sure if this would work. there are lot of places that do this sort of work. i live in Melbourne. i would be happy to study for something different but i am out of ideas. Please note that i don't want to do anything online like surveys and things like that. I love kids, helping people and i am creative and want to do something that will be fun. Have you got any suggestions???

Youve got some good answers so far. I would say to do what I do. I have 3 kids (small not in school yet) and I sell candles through a very popular and respectable company (Partylite) check them out here http://www.partylite.com to learn everything and how it works- It is direct sales-you will recieve a percentage in payment of how much sold.

I also went into business for myself selling giftbaskets and diaper cakes. I’m praying to do well in my new area. Try it out-God Bless.

You could set up a website to market kid-made crafts and sell them, shipping them all around the world, make it non profit and setup an organization to help displaced kids.

Why don’t you see if you can do waxing, make up & nails for peoples weddings? You could do it as a package and people will pay more for it because they expect that with weddings.
That way you may only need to work once a week if that suits your schedule.
