If you are not a good student online classes might not be the best fit. They are a procrastonators dream come true (or nightmare, depending upon how you look at it). You don't have a set schedule for anything, and it is very easy to avoid doing classwork. Additionally there are fewer support structures in place, ie: you can't see your instructor after class.

I would look for a college/university with a program that also has graduate students or teaching assistants to help if you are worried about the difficulty of the classwork (SUNY At Buffalo has this kind of setup, works really well). You end up with an additional free resource to assist you. Otherwise a tutor or serious study buddy helps too.

If you do decide to take the online class, just keep it regimented and don't flake out-- this can effect your career significantly.

If the Air Force is paying for your college it will be nationally accredited. Be sure classes will transfer, being on reserve is no guarantee anymore.

Just make sure the school and the degree program is "Regionally Accredited." As with anything in life, the better school you graduate from, the better off you are. But for the common slug, seldom is the content of the degree looked at.

Nothing beats a classroom and a live instructor to learn - I took several classes over a one year period and decided I'd like to speed it up - so I took four classes at the university of phoenix online - did great until I took the fifth - calculus...online - got fed up with it and dropped out - started taking classes again at Strayer and I'm much happier and I feel I'm learning allot more. 3.5 gpa

Also if you're in the ARNG do you really think you won't get called up? I'm all for people going into the military - heck I did about 21 years - but go in with your eyes open.
I think you'd be better off finding a school with an ROTC or NROTC program and applying from there...
