You can easily compare info about these schools in this site – careers.scienceontheweb.net
There are universities that offer first year courses online or by correspondence. I don’t know where you are from, so it is hard to give you specific schools, but I did some first year courses through the Open Learning Agency here, which has been taken over by Thompson Rivers University. I will attach a link below. There should be schools that offer similar things near where you are.
Good luck.
While most colleges now will offer many courses online, even some of the basics such as English, I think you’ll be rather hard pressed to find most of the hard science classes available, such as math, physics, chemistry, etc. simply because so much of those classes revolve around lecture and lab. Further, a VERY important part to mathematics is actually KNOWING the material, so online courses are incredibly uncommon, simply because if you were able to just open your book and have at it, you wouldn’t necessarily have anything memorized.
A fairly popular occurrence in post graduate online programs is to take the tests in person at a testing facility for a small fee, however I’m not aware of any undergrad programs that offer such a thing.
The best bet I could imagine would be University of Phoenix for an undergrad degree, as they basically pioneered the "real" degree being completely online. If nothing else, they’d be a good starting point.
Ya you can take basic college courses online in a good online university like caluniversity.edu, which offers distance learning programs, admission’s counselors will make your education experience smoother and easier than you ever thought possible. You can take up any of the new courses among several Masters and Doctorate programs available.
I just heard about an online contest – “California InterContinental University 2009 Scholarship Prize Essay Contest”. it’s about an essay writing contest and the winner gets prize money.

Best of luck.
Try going through a university in your state. For example, the University of Kansas offers classes online. You can call several major universities in your area and ask if they offer online courses; several of them may even offer whole degrees online. A lot of online universities are not accredited, so you could spend your money and then just have to take the class over again. Also, employers don’t tend to respect college credit earned at non-accredited universities. Be way of that–make sure to check and see that a university is accredited before you commit to it. You can usually check a university’s accreditation on their homepage–just scroll to the bottom of the page. If there is nothing on their page about it, move on or give them a call.
