Don’t listen to those people. You can do all things thru Christ who stregthens you. As far as your question, "To become a member of a collegiate chapter you must currently be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university where there is an active chapter on campus or in the city. To find out the status of a chapter contact the Greek Affairs or Student Activities Office of your school. To apply for membership you must already have a cumulative minimum grade point average requirement of 2.50 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 1.50 on a 3.0 grading scale." For more information I would advise you to go to the official website of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. It is deltasigmatheta.org or you can use http://deltasigmatheta.xohost.com/ . Look under membership and go to FAQs. I would advise you to look at the whole website, it may answer some more of your questions.

you’re a mom and still want to be in a sorority!??! i feel sorry for your kids…

Why do you want to join the sorority? Is it for purely social or are there career motives behind this?

There will be new responsibilities to take on once you join a sorority, so be aware of this and make sure your husband also is in agreement with you and supports you on this.

You can always find a campus close to you who has the Sorority there and tell them your school does not offer this and there are some chapters that will let you pledge from another campus. I forget what it’s called but I was gonna do it when I was in school. My school did not have any black frats or sororities and they were gonna let me pledge through their chapter. Good luck!

Unfortunately, there are many women in your situation. Delta Sigma Theta does not recognize on-line colleges. Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta consists only of collegiate chapters on CAMPUSES and grad chapters. You are definitely ineligible for membership on the undergrad level. As far as a grad chapter is concerned (after you receive your bachelor’s degree), I’m not sure if you can apply at this level considering you will have had a degree from an on-line university. You should definitely contact the National Headquarter and ask if you would be eligible for a grad chapter after you obtain your bachelor degree from an on-line university. Good luck.

This is in response to another question you asked. I have typed out the lyrics for the song you wanted. If you still want them, email me. Click on my avatar and you will be able to get in touch with me. I tried to leave them on the original question but it limited me.
