Are there any successful medical transcriptionists out their who work from home?

How did you receive your training and is the job really as in demand as the online schools tell you? If you were going to recommend a online/at home course, what would it be? Thanks.

Seriously, I’ve researched medical transcription, medical coding and billing and these are the most flooded jobs out there. Everyone wants to work at home, and doing "medical" work seems the most legit, and it usually is. But that means EVERYONE is doing it. You’ll have to pay for schooling, then work your butt off trying to find someone to hire you, so they can pay you pennies. I’ve already blogged about this before on my site, you should read about the other job opps I found. Seriously though, I wouldn’t waste your time.
the only demand is the school for your money, there are many people that have gotten there certificate and that is all they have, please don’t waste your money or time
I just graduated about 5 months ago from a Medical Insurance Billing/Coding Vocational School. Worst mistake i ever maade because they say they will help you get a job when you get out. False! Another thing i noticed is the job is in very high demand, but if you dont have any experience then employers don’t want you. Now I go to Devry Univerdity and I am taking Health Information Management…same thing but it gets more in depth and you also get a degree. My suggestion is go to college and try to get as much experience as you can in the field to be successful

would you be interested in writing?
You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.
Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.
I’ve given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.
