I recommend simply going thru your local community college. It is a lot cheaper and you do not get the bad reputation that comes with U of Phoenix. It is just not worth it even if they might actually have a good program. But to answer your question yes, U of Phoenix is accredited visit their (http://www.phoenix.edu/about_us/accreditation.html) link you can verify them by searching the the Department of Education website (http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html) good luck
I don’t know if it’s accredited or not, but I don’t recommend it. I tutored a woman who took University of Phoenix classes. The textbook was very poor and the instructor provided very little help.
