Currently I'm signed up for 12 credit hours of online classes (full time at my school). But I'm wondering if that will be too much work for the circumstances?

I'm currently taking an online history class (the only online class I've ever taken) - do many online classes require writing essays or are they mostly just a lot of studying and quizzes/tests?

Has anyone been in this situation?

I plan on taking on my pre-requisites online but wanted to know what they are like. Do you have to do the class at a certain time or meet online for discussions? Since I'll be working full time I won't have a flexible schedule to be able to do so and wanted to know if online classes offered by community colleges are pretty flexible or not? Thanks!

      and I wanted to take 3 online classes since I work full time.
      This would be more ideal but I've never taken an Online Class
      and not sure if your only allowed to take a certain amount?

I am currently going to college for Environmental Science, but am willing to change my major to Botany or something in the earth sciences to be able to take some classes online. I am getting ready to have a baby and will be a single mom, I cannot work full time, go to school full time and raise a baby unless I can find an alternative to in the classroom studies, at least for the next couple of years.
            Science classes. I have to stress that I am looking for online SCIENCE classes. Not criminal justice, not business, not nursing. Science. Something to do with earth science, in particular.
