I'm an undergraduate at UC San Diego studying biology. Are there any places I can take cheap online courses (upper division) that will satisfy requirements for my major?

I have an appt with a college adviser wednesday about the courses I have to take. Im just wandering how long it will take to earn that degree? They have already told me that it is a mostly online course. Should I not go because it is an online course. I know certain jobs do not hire graduates of an online course, but would it really matter as long as you passed the NCLEX. Any input would be helpful

"Saved or created" has become the signature phrase for Barack Obama as he describes what his stimulus is doing for American jobs. His latest invocation came yesterday, when the president declared that the stimulus had already saved or created at least 150,000 American jobs -- and announced he was ramping up some of the stimulus spending so he could "save or create" an additional 600,000 jobs this summer. These numbers come in the context of an earlier Obama promise that his recovery plan will "save or create three to four million jobs over the next two years."

Mr. Fratto sees a double standard at play. "We would never have used a formula like 'save or create,'" he tells me. "To begin with, the number is pure fiction -- the administration has no way to measure how many jobs are actually being 'saved.' And if we had tried to use something this flimsy, the press would never have let us get away with it."

Of course, the inability to measure Mr. Obama's jobs formula is part of its attraction. Never mind that no one -- not the Labor Department, not the Treasury, not the Bureau of Labor Statistics -- actually measures "jobs saved." As the New York Times delicately reports, Mr. Obama's jobs claims are "based on macroeconomic estimates, not an actual counting of jobs." Nice work if you can get away with it.

Is Obama a master manipulator? Or are people just outright retarded?

I' am planning to take college courses online from scratch to bachelors degree in criminal justice. I know online college can be expensive, but time is money, and right now I have two jobs and I run my own business so time is very tight, but on one of my jobs, including my business I have plenty of time where I can whip out my laptop and get some hours in, so online is definitely my best path. Now iam just shopping around trying to get as much info as possible. What college would you recommend? and why? and also Price efficient, cause some of them are very expensive, and also I need a college which is accredited.

Right out of high school I attended 2 local community colleges.....a semester at each one. I was only going because all my friends were going and I took a whole bunch of nonsense classes. Like nonsense as in, one period was a religeon class, and then the next was human sex, and then child developement. I had no plans.....so I dropped out after a year. Well, about 4 years later, here I am, married with a 7 month old baby and a job working for Blue Shield of Ca where I have been trying to promote and move up but am unable to! I'm thinking about going back to school because it seems like everyone with authority here....or anyone about me in general....they all have a college background. So I'm thinking about taking some online courses so I can get something going and move forward in my career! I work in the health insurance industry and have been for going on 3 years now. I like it and there are so many jobs here that seem interesting to me.....so I'm thinking about staying in the business....or some kind of insurance. I have no idea what classes to take or what kinds of classes will help me in this field to get ahead. Any suggestions......I want to do it online cause it is literally impossible to go to class with my work schedule and taking care of my family. I was thinking maybe some business classes??? Should I try for a degree in business....I'm thinking that should take you a lot of places in case it turns out I don't like health insurance anymore? Please help!! I don't want to go to school again and waste my time!
I hate those colleges....Phoenix....they call me a few times a year all because I accidentally signed up with them on monster.com! I can't get rid of them! Anyways....along with those nonsense classes, I did take a few basic english and math classes. So the whole year wasn't a total waste...
