What online school can you take online classes from being a CMA to becoming an RN?

I have an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting and would like to further that and become a RN. The problem is, is that I work full-tme during the day and all the classes for ADN that is close to me is during the day:( I have to work and would like to find a college that I can do classes online toward my goal. Can anyone help me with the names of some great online schools!!!

LPN to BSN online courses and how long it takes?

I have an appt with a college adviser wednesday about the courses I have to take. Im just wandering how long it will take to earn that degree? They have already told me that it is a mostly online course. Should I not go because it is an online course. I know certain jobs do not hire graduates of an online course, but would it really matter as long as you passed the NCLEX. Any input would be helpful

Career Choice…. Help Me Please.?

I am 24 years old and was about 2 years away from getting my BA degree from University of Phoenix Online before I decided to go for a major change. I changed my major from Business Administration to Nursing. I went back to community college to satisfy various science and math prerequisites in order to be ahead of the game, thus having only nursing courses to complete all the way up to receiving my BSN (i.e. I would get my ASN from a community college first, then work as a RN and go to school to receive my BSN).

I'm currently studying to take the HESI entrance exam in order to be accepted into a nursing school. Meanwhile, I'm having second thoughts. Now, what persuaded me to want to become a nurse was the career stability, as far as occupation demand and lucrative pay. While I feel like being a nurse is something I could do and grow to love (I also naturally like to help people), it wasn't my first or main reason I chose the career.

I'm having second thoughts because what I really want to do is travel. I love to travel and it has been my passion growing up. I need help finding lucrative careers that are in demand involving traveling. In all honesty, I used to want to be a flight attendant.

Help me please, before I make a decision that may hunt me for the rest of my life.

i will be a stay at home mom until my child starts school (4-5 years from now).

at home, in my spare time, was wondering if i could take online courses to become an RN so that perhaps around the time he starts school i could get a job as an RN.

Are these the right steps to becoming a RN in Hawaii?

Hi, I live on the big island of Hawaii and I am looking into becoming a RN. I am enrolling into the University of Phoenix for online courses and to achieve my associates degree in Health Care Administration. They informed me that this would take 1 year and 9 months to complete. And yes, this is an approved program. So, the next step would be to pass the NCLEX exam? Once I pass that, then I apply to different hospitals or offices (depending on what I would like to do at that point)? This is what has been told to me, but it seems too simple! No hands on training program or does this come with the NCLEX? Sorry, I am confused and want to make sure I am headed in the right direction because I don't have the time to take unnecessary steps. Please get back to me with any advice. Thank you!!

Help me choose my college/career path – Nursing ?

I’m double majoring in Business Administration and Communications in University of Phoenix online and plan to graduate with two Bachelors’ in the summer of 2010. I am also interested in nursing school, but have to choose from two options.

Option 1:

Instead of doubling up on University of Phoenix courses I will take one course at a time and go to a community college to get my associates in RN. Because I will be taking one course at a time at University of Phoenix I will graduate with two Bachelors’ and receive my associates in Nursing in 2011. This option means I will be dealing with the nursing school load and the University of Phoenix load at the same time, which will be quite stressful at times.

Option 2:

Double up on my University of Phoenix online courses in order to graduate with two Bachelors’ in 2010. I will then apply to an accelerated BSN program (particularly Rutgers since I live in New Jersey) and receive a third Bachelors’ in nursing within a little over a year from starting the program. This way I can focus on the University of Phoenix load without being distracted by being in a nursing program and afterwards, I can dedicate myself to the accelerated BSN program without the distraction coming from the University of Phoenix load.

Which option do you think is the best and more realistic? I have a 3.7 GPA in University of Phoenix online. Can I work as an RN with only a BSN?

Your advice is much appreciated.

There are many 'work from home' scams, but are at least some of the training courses for medical transcription on the up and up? How is finding employment afterwards? What are your experiences?
I'm asking for my Mom- a retired RN, who has years of previous medical experience.

To specialize as an anesthetist, do I have to have 1 year experience as an RN or is it possible for me to immediately start specializing with online courses? And what are the differences between specializing (in anesthesiology) online and in an actual university? Is it any less time consuming/easier/tougher?
